Sales Account Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Responsible for selling various diagnostic products and molecular reagent solutions to customers within their sales market, and within a territory comprised of accounts located within a predetermined region. Meet or exceed sales goals and objectives set by leadership by converting pre-qualified leads and generating new business with existing customers by using upselling tactics that ensure a great customer experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following; other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Achieve sales objectives in the region (monthly, quarterly and annual).
  • Develop meaningful relationship with new customers and deepen relationships with existing customers.
  • Effectively manages sales pipeline from lead acquisition to contract signing by focusing and advancing customers through the sales process.
  • Strategizes plans and organizes territory for profitability to meet KPIs, quotas and sales targets.
  • Builds productive and strong collaborative relationships with distribution partners to drive sales revenue and profitability.
  • Develop a plan for meetings with Directors & Managers from direct customer.
  • Manages the development and servicing of point of care and laboratory accounts and channels in the territory to achieve business sales.
  • Meets or exceeds established sales quotas and (margins) through the implementation of sales and marketing strategies within the expense budget.
  • Forecasts sales volumes in reference to key customers and products.
  • Reports results against forecasts to senior management as well as any adjustments made to business plans to ensure objectives are met.
  • Participates in the preparation of sales plans and campaigns, business plans and product development plans.
  • Implements those plans as well.
  • Maintains relationships with key customers.
  • Develops pipeline in each one territory he/she manages with appropriate management of pipeline using HubSpot.
  • Grow installed bases.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Represents Verséa at trade shows and professional meetings.

  • Superior written and verbal communications skills including timely and detailed follow-up.
  • Ability to use resources effectively to generate solutions and take initiative when resolving problems.
  • Ability to respond effectively to multiple priorities and execute quickly in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE

  • BS/BA Degree in Business, Life Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the Healthcare industry required
  • Strategic thinking skills and ability to translate strategies into executable tactical action plans.
  • Ability to deliver results while working in a highly independent and fast-paced team environment.
  • Commercial & Business acumen.
  • Proficient at uncovering key business issues and providing insightful, actionable recommendations for improvement. Ability to manage complex sales cycle internally and externally.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and generate logical strategies and plans based on analysis.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Solid communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Ability to uphold and support individual and company values.
  • High degree of ethics and professionalism while interacting with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
