Ecommerce Store Manager - Revenue Generation (Shopify Expert)

Role Overview:

As an Ecommerce Store Manager specializing in revenue generation, you will be the driving force behind maximizing sales and profitability for our online stores. Leveraging your expertise in Shopify and other ecommerce store platforms (Amazon Marketplace, Wal-Mart Marketplace etc) and strategic marketing, you will lead efforts to expand our presence, build portfolio offerings, increase customer engagement, conversion rates, and average order values. Your role is pivotal in growing and optimizing revenue streams and shaping the financial success of our Ecommerce business. As a critical role in the company this leader will report directly to our Chief Commercial Officer.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Online Sales Strategy:

– Develop and execute strategies to boost revenue through product assortment, pricing optimization, and upselling/cross-selling techniques across online stores.

– Identify high-demand products and trends to capitalize on market opportunities.

– Implement A/B testing and data analysis to refine strategies for increasing sales.

  1. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):

– Continuously analyze user behavior and website data to identify conversion bottlenecks and drop-off points.

– Collaborate with the design and development teams to implement improvements that enhance the user experience and streamline the purchasing process.

  1. Promotional Campaigns:

– Devise and manage targeted marketing campaigns to drive sales, leveraging various channels such as email marketing, social media, and paid advertising.

– Create urgency through limited-time offers, exclusive deals, and flash sales to encourage immediate purchases.

  1. Customer Retention and Loyalty:

– Implement customer retention strategies, including loyalty programs, personalized recommendations, and post-purchase engagement.

– Monitor customer feedback and reviews to enhance customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.

  1. Analytics and Insights:

– Regularly monitor sales performance, analyzing key metrics like customer acquisition cost, customer lifetime value, and return on ad spend.

– Provide data-driven insights to guide decision-making and refine revenue generation strategies.

  1. Shopify Expertise:

– Utilize advanced knowledge of the Shopify platform to optimize the online store for revenue growth.

– Implement Shopify apps and tools that enhance sales, such as abandoned cart recovery, upsell/cross-sell plugins, and email capture pop-ups.

– Efficient list and maintain items in Shopify store with compelling content.

  1. Collaboration and Partnerships:

– Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align revenue-focused campaigns with overall marketing strategies.

– Build relationships with influencers, affiliates, and partners to expand the store’s reach and drive referral sales.

Role Qualifications:

– 5+ years relevant experience

– Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Ecommerce, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

– Proven track record of significantly increasing Ecommerce revenue through strategic initiatives.

– Extensive experience managing Ecommerce stores on the Shopify platform.

– Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into actionable insights.

– Proficiency in digital marketing tactics such as PPC, email marketing, and social media advertising.

– Demonstrated ability to optimize conversion rates and implement CRO strategies.

– Excellent communication skills, both in conveying insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

– Innovative mindset with a focus on identifying revenue-generating opportunities.

– Project management skills to oversee multiple revenue-focused initiatives simultaneously.

– Experience developing and managing Amazon and Wal-Mart Marketplace stores highly preferred.

We are currently seeking a Corporate Controller to join the Company’s Finance team. This person will be the financial steward of the company and will serve as a strategic business partner in setting the vision and direction of the organization’s fiscal health. This position will not only have the responsibility for the day-to-day responsibilities of the Accounting Department, but will also oversee the planning, implementing, and controlling of all financial related activities of the Company.

Critical Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of the company’s plans and programs as a strategic partner
  • Plan, direct and evaluate the organization’s fiscal responsibilities and performance
  • Oversee the activities of accounts payable, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, employee expense reports and overall cash control
  • Ensure the timely compliance of all sales tax reporting
  • Oversee the activities of accounts receivable, ensuring the timely collection of payments from all customers, cash receipt/credit card payment processing, communications with customers and overall cash control
  • Manage the month end close process and compile and analyze monthly consolidated financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Perform proper analytical review of the operations from a balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow perspective as well as an overall business perspective
  • Leverage financial analysis and create models to help the company identify areas where profitability can be improved, and expenses reduced
  • Provide status of financial condition of all Divisions by collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data and recommending plans
  • Establish budgets by creating schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data
  • Coordinate the annual tax return preparation; function as the primary contact for this project
  • Support and work closely with operations personnel and systems
  • Look beyond traditional accounting functions to increase margins (pricing, cost controls) and assist with challenging operational decisions
  • Prioritize and plan work activities and develop realistic action plans
  • Listen effectively, transmit information in an accurate and understandable manner, and actively seek feedback
  • Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and good judgment in all interactions with co-workers, customers, vendors, and others

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
  • CPA certification is required
  • 5+ years of experience as a Controller with full general ledger accounting and financial reporting for a multi-divisional company
  •  Manufacturing/Distribution experience preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures including general ledger functions, month/year-end close procedures, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proven track record of successfully developing strong financial systems through hands-on, results-oriented leadership
  • Start-up experience (i.e. business/company development ramping an organization using minimal resources, etc.)
  • Previous leadership experience including management of employees
  • Significant experience using an ERP system
